I would love to be your GUIDE on Kabetogama, Namakan, Ash River, or Rainy Lake.
Fishing tours are our primary focus, but the demand for "boat tours" along with our knowledge of the area's broad history (long before the National Park) makes for a fun way to see Voyageurs if your are sight-seeing!

Frequently asked questions
Will you pick us up at our resort or houseboat?
YES! I will pick you up at any of the resorts on Kabetogama or Ash River, any of the houseboat sites on Kabetogama or Namakan, or even an island campsite. If your are staying somewhere else or coming for the day, often the Kabetogama Visitor Center is the best place to meet.
Can we go back to the resort if needed?
YES! This is your day, I'm happy to go back for lunch, or even a bathroom break. Remember, we maybe 10-20 miles down the lake, so communication is important.
Do we need to go so early?
well, depending on weather...often earlier fishing patterns are better than being out in the hottest part of the day. We are flexible, but leaving before 9am is preferred.
What kind of fish will we be catching? Can we go after a specific species?
Most visitors love to catch Minnesota's state fish...the "walleye", delicious to eat and fun to catch. But we can target bass, northern pike, crappie or sometimes yellow perch. Each day is different, and although I've never been skunked on guide trip, we have slow days. My goal is to teach you techniques, patterns, and locations that will help you during your time on Kabetogama, Ash River, or Namakan.
Can you pick us up at our resort or AirB&B?
Yes, I will pick you up and drop you off at your cabin, airB&B, or resort.
Do you offer packages for lodging and fishing trips?
Yes, we own the Kab Inn (www.kab-inn.com) take a look, we have comfortable hotel-like rooms that can rent overnight or longer.
